The most popular poker versions online are Texas Holdem Poker, Omaha Poker, 7 Stud Poker and 5 Card Poker
Texas Holdem Poker is the top-popular version of poker and tends to be the easiest one. Before starting the game gamblers make blind bets (they are called blind because gamblers don’t see the cards before making a bet). The blinds provide the required amount of money in the bank. Each player is dealt two cards, and plus there are five common cards. All cards can be used to make up a winning combination. So, we see that Texas Holdem is a 7-card game. There are four betting rounds.
Omaha poker is a 9-card game. There are five common cards and each player has four cards of his own. The winning combination can be made out only out of two “pocket” cards and three common cards. A larger number of cards make Omaha more complicated than Texas Holdem poker; but at the same time it gives more chances to get a strong hand. That means that the players spend more time at the table having good combinations and that leads to the increase of the bank.
7 Stud Poker is different. There are no common cards, and there are five betting rounds instead of four. Blinds are not used in 7 Stud Poker, but there is a bet called Ante. The player with the lowest card must make a bring-in bet in the Bring section but the player with a better hand, should act first in the later rounds of Betting Section. In the Showdown, each player makes the best five card hand possible out of their own seven cards.
Five Card Draw is one of most basic forms of poker, and it’s the kind of poker you’re used to seeing in movies and on TV. Once all players have anted (or the blinds have been paid), the dealer deals every player five cards face down. After all players receive their five cards, the first betting round ensues. When the betting round completes the draw round begins. A player can “stand pat”, meaning they keep all five cards, or they can throw away any amount from 1-5 cards, getting them replaced with an equal number of cards from the top of the deck. Than the second betting round begins and the player with the best hand after the second betting round takes the pot.
